I am a graduate student working with Dr. Rebecca Brotman at the Institute for Genome Sciences at UMSOM. My thesis is focused on the effects of hyperosmolar vaginal lubricants on the vaginal microbiota and bacterial vaginosis, and I am broadly interested in the impact of personal behaviors on the vaginal microbiota and the role the microbiota plays in the natural history of sexually transmitted infections.
