Dr. Meyerson directs the Harm Reduction Research Lab at the College of Medicine – Tucson at the University of Arizona. She is also Policy Director for the Comprehensive Pain and Addiction Center, and is a faculty of UArizona’s Institute for LGBT Studies.
She has three decades of public health practice and research experience, typified by roles as president of a policy research consultancy focused on HIV and sexually-transmitted diseases with an international portfolio, as the state AIDS/STD director for the state of Missouri, and directing a non-profit AIDS service organization.
Research Interests:
Normalizing methadone, assuring syringe access for people who use drugs and people on HRT for general affirming care. Public health policy and systems to advance population health with focus on harm reduction and sexual health.
