Dr. Erausquin is a social and behavioral epidemiologist whose research examines gender, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic factors as determinants of sexual and reproductive health (SRH), with an emphasis on HIV prevention and care engagement. Her research interests include stigma and health, determinants of care HIV engagement, syndemics and syndemic analysis, and structural approaches to eliminating health disparities. Dr. Erausquin is an expert in sampling hard-to-reach populations and in developing survey measures for sensitive topics and behaviors. She has made significant contributions to behavioral research on SRH, with over 45 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Erausquin is currently funded by a NIMH R15 to examine the associations of race/ethnicity, psychosocial, behavioral, and structural factors with key HIV care continuum outcomes among women living with HIV in the southern U.S.
